M. Demajo (Wines and Spirits) Limited is seeking to recruit a Warehouse Runner to join its current team. This position calls for a responsible, motivated and enthusiastic person who can work on his/her own initiative.
The selected person will be reporting to the Warehouse Managers and will be performing the following main duties amongst others:
- To assist the Warehouse Managers in the upkeep and maintenance of the store area and equipment.
- To transfer duty paid goods from bonded area to HQ and stack them in their respective places.
- To assist with the stacking of all the incoming stock in their respective places, when required i.e. spirits in bonded area and wines in HQ.
- To assist in the periodical stocktaking.
- To make the most efficient utilization of available storage space and to keep the HQ area organized at all times.
- To organize duty paid orders on pallets for deliveries.
- To ensure good housekeeping and safe working conditions in the Company’s stores.
- To coordinate the day-to-day deliveries with the Warehouse Managers.
- To assist in the daily loading of the stock into the vans.
- To check all stock loaded against deliver notes.
- To check and ensure that stock delivered to clients is according to the invoice/cash sale.
- To reconcile with the Warehouse Managers with regards to the end of day cash including cash- sale voucher and signed invoices.
- To assist at the warehouse and collect new consignments from Hal-Far.
Interested candidates must:
- Have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar post;
- Be customer oriented;
- Have good verbal and written communications skills in both Maltese and English;
- Be smart and reliable at all times.
Applicants in possession of a valid and clean Category C and/or C1 Driving Licence will be given preference.
