Multi Packaging Limited is seeking to recruit a full-time Skilled Operator. The selected candidate’s will be an integral part of the corrugator team where teamwork and effective communication is key. The successful candidate must be energetic, show initiative and maintain high standards in a fast‑paced environment.
Duties will include performing a wide range of tasks that include:
- Set up the machine accurately and efficiently following correct setup procedures;
- Set up materials and jobs on machines according to supporting documentation;
- Operate starch system and double backer to achieve high‑quality output;
- Prepare liner rolls and splices for the double backer;
- Adjust liner roll stand and preheater settings;
- Align single facer and double backer webs;
- Monitor and adjust starch settings;
- Carry out special setups for reinforcement tapes or strings;
- Assist single facer operator and other corrugator areas;
- Operate the single facer, double backer, clamp lifter, and quality take‑off;
- Prepare, label, and store butt rolls appropriately;
- Operating fork lifters and assisting with loading or moving materials and products;
- Complete required production, machine, safety, and quality reports accurately and on time;
- Conducting quality checks;
- Working in a safe manner and to comply with all rules and regulations related to Health & Safety;
- Performing the necessary troubleshooting and adjustments;
- Assist with minor preventive maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating mechanical machinery;
- Experience in setting machinery;
- Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance duties;
- Good command of the English language.
