Driver (Job Ref. MPL – D 03/25)

Multi Packaging Limited is seeking to recruit a full-time Driver to join its current team. The selected candidate’s must ensure that deliveries are performed in an ordinarily manner and inspect the company’s truck fleet for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance whilst abiding by safety policies.

Duties will include performing a wide range of tasks that include:

• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading bays/positions;
• Load/unload or assist in loading/unloading of finished product in or from truck;
• Inspect load in truck to ensure it is properly and securely loaded and quantities conform with the delivery note/invoice;
• Transport the load to the required route whilst observing all traffic laws and safety regulations, as well as abiding with company policies and procedures;
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure that Company Clients are served efficiently in a timely manner and in accordance with Company Standards;
• Obtain the necessary signatures on the delivery note and return it completed to the Company;
• Perform pick lists as instructed by the Stores Coordinator and as per clients’ instructions;
• Communicate effectively with the Stores Co-Ordinator and/or Management about customer concerns and inventory issues;
• Coordinate last minute, urgent and unscheduled deliveries to meet customers’ needs;
• Make use of material handling equipment, such as forklifts;
• Perform daily inspection on trucks according to the preventive maintenance schedule such as, but not limited to – checking the oil level, water level, fuel, air in tires, and clean vehicles as required,to ensure the fleet is in proper condition to operate effectively
• Be proactive in the maintenance of the company’s trucks, identify safety hazards and report any maintenance items/repairs or unsafe conditions to Supervisor, immediately;
• Report defects, accidents or violations as per company procedures;
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety Policy and to maintain good housekeeping of the truck section/areas;
• Perform any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year working experience in a similar post;
• Possess a valid and clean Category C & C1 Driving License;
• Be customer oriented;
• Ability to communicate in Maltese and/or English;
• Willingness to learn and to participate in training provided.

The appropriate candidate needs to be highly responsible, reliable, and meticulous, with an ability to work efficiently under pressure.
