Head Chef (FSL – HC 01/24)

Franchise Solutions Limited is seeking to recruit an experienced and qualified Head Chef who has a passion for his art and can take full charge of one of the Illy Caffé outlets.

Reporting to the Outlet Manager, the Head Chef will be the first in command in the facility and will create and inspect dishes before they arrive at the customers ensuring high quality and contentment.

Main Duties will include:

• Maintaining cleanliness with respect to company standards and complying with the necessary H.A.C.C.P requirements;
• Training and maintaining standards by SOP’s in all realms of the kitchen;
• Developing dishes where applicable;
• Ordering and maintaining stock and par levels according to rate of consumption;
• Ensuring quality and cost-effective methods, including stock rotation;
• Maintaining food cost, labour cost and miscellaneous expenses;
• Ensuring that equipment in the kitchen is maintained to an excellent standard with minimum breakage and to report faults to concerned part of management.
• Understanding fire, hygiene and safety policies whilst maintaining a high standard of personal hygiene at all times;
• Selecting employees together with the Operations Manager whilst planning and implementing an effective on job skills training;

Requirements:

• Proven experience as Head Chef;
• Culinary Science certificate; 
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills in English;
• Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management;
• Be confident and disciplined;
