The Malta Experience, a subsidiary of the M. Demajo Group is seeking to recruit a Part Time Cook to join its current team. The selected candidate will be providing food and beverage service at The Malta Experience Cafeteria.
Main Duties will include:
• Inspecting supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformity with established standards;
• Preparing, seasoning, and cooking dishes in a timely manner;
• Packing and labelling preparations and storing products (production and use-by dates);
• Maintaining, setting and establishing hygiene practices to comply with the necessary HACCP requirements;
• Managing all documentation related to correct stock levels and maintaining inventory control;
• Controlling and reporting stock shortages and checking orders when received.
Requirements:
• 2 years’ experience in a similar role;
• Possess a certification in Food Handling;
• Have a food and beverage related qualification;
• Be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office applications;
• Be fluent in Maltese, English and another European language;
• Have a flair for the art of culinary production;
• Be outgoing and have excellent communication skills;
• Be able to work in a team;
• Have the ability of work under pressure;
• Be discrete, self-confident and flexible;
• Have excellent leadership and problem-solving skills;
• Be meticulous and well-organised;
• Possess a ‘can do’ attitude and a high level of commitment;
• Be willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays;
