Joseph Cachia & Son Limited, a subsidiary within the M. Demajo Group is looking to expand and strengthen their technical team.

Besides representing world renowned brands, Joseph Cachia & Son Limited supplies, distributes and maintains money handling equipment, queuing systems, reverse vending machines, noise and air monitoring equipment to commercial and industrial entities.  Furthermore, the company has a fully trained technical team providing a 24-hour round the clock maintenance and support service.  Joseph Cachia & Son Ltd has also developed strong business relationships with leading suppliers some of whom it has teamed up with, to successfully bid for large-scale tenders involving complex infrastructural projects in the field of energy, the environment and security.

Based in Malta and reporting directly to the Operations Manager – Technical & Sales Division, the selected Technical IT Specialist will be installing, servicing, and maintaining cash machines and queuing automation systems, while providing both hardware and software support, including troubleshooting, scripting, and system monitoring. The technician will interact with clients, deliver training, and promote the company’s solutions in a professional manner.

Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records, assisting with cost analysis, and ensuring efficient reporting. Continuous learning through training, mentoring junior staff, and staying updated on the latest industry developments are key aspects of this position.

Requirements:

Hands-on experience with hardware installation, servicing, or maintenance (preferably automated systems).

Basic IT skills, including troubleshooting software and online platforms.

Familiarity with networking, cloud services, and system interfaces.

Basic scripting or programming knowledge (Python, SQL, PowerShell, etc.) is an advantage but not mandatory.

Understanding of API protocols and architectures, including RESTful services, HTTP methods, and status codes.

Strong problem-solving skills, tech-savvy, and keen to learn new technologies.

Good English communication skills and customer-focused attitude.

Willingness to work on standby or after-office hours support when required.

Candidates possessing a good level of verbal and written communication skills in Maltese together with previous experience in IT Support, will be given preference.
