As a result of our continuous growth, a vacancy has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to form part of its growing and successful team.
The overall purpose of the Mechanical Engineer is to be responsible for designing plastic enclosures, assembly line jigs, and conducting mechanical testing to ensure high-quality product development and manufacturing efficiency. Managing assembly line operations and on-field installations contributes to streamlined processes and customer satisfaction, ultimately driving the organization’s success in delivering quality products and maintaining a strong market position.
The chosen candidate will be reporting to the General Manager and will be responsible for executing the following main duties amongst others:
- Creating functional, visually appealing plastic casings for products, considering material choice and manufacturing methods for cost-effective, durable solutions;
- Designing of assembly line jigs by developing specialized tools and fixtures for assembly lines to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and ensure consistent production;
- Conducting tests to assess the quality and safety of mechanical and electronic components, identifying defects and performance issues;
- Managing assembly line processes and operations by overseeing production lines, optimizing workflows, coordinating staff, and ensuring smooth operations for efficient manufacturing;
- Managing on field installations and execution by coordinating product deployment, ensuring smooth installation and performance in real-world settings to meet customer expectations;
- Overseeing the maintenance and repair of on the field deployed systems and equipment.
The ideal candidate shall:
- Have MQF Level 6 or better in Mechanical Engineering;
- Speak Maltese
- Be proficient in mechanical design and using of 3D modelling software;
- Be a technology enthusiast;
- Have a driving license;
- Experience in similar job roles is considered an asset.
