M. Demajo & Company Limited, a subsidiary within the M. Demajo Group, is currently seeking to recruit a responsible individual in the position of Sales & Operations Manager.
Reporting to the General Manager, the selected candidate will be performing the following main duties amongst others:
- Developing and implementing sales strategies to grow the company’s presence within the HoReCa sector.
- Managing and supporting the Sales Supervisor, ensuring delivery of sales targets and KPIs.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and suppliers.
- Overseeing sales pipeline and ensuring consistent growth in revenue and margins.
- Monitoring pricing structures, promotions, and profitability.
- Overseeing ordering, stock control, and inventory management.
- Ensuring efficient coordination of imports, deliveries, and logistics.
- Maintaining optimal stock levels while minimizing waste and overstocking.
- Managing and supporting the Administration Executive for orders, invoicing, and documentation.
- Implementing systems and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Leading, motivating and developing the team.
- Setting KPIs and monitoring performance regularly.
- Preparing reports on business performance, sales, and operations.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
- Identifying growth opportunities and product expansion.
The successful candidate must:
- Have proven experience in Sales and Operations, preferably within the food distribution or HoReCa sector.
- Possess a strong commercial mindset and the ability to drive growth and profitability.
- Demonstrate solid leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating teams.
- Have a good understanding of logistics, stock control, and supply chain processes.
- Possess excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Be proficient in IT systems and reporting tools.
- Be fluent in English, whilst knowledge of Maltese and holding a valid driving licence are considered an asset.
